The Fare Review 2019
The Fare is a new movie from Dread Centeral it plays off like Chasing Amy meets Twilight Zone. It is a really cool movie to watch if your a fan of science fiction and Romance.
Gino Pesi gives a star turning peformance as Harris. Gino is really chairsmatic here as the cab driver. The way the movie plays out its like he is stuck in own pugatory.
As he keeps meeting Penny(Brinna Kelly) over and over again and she pleads with him to remember her next time.
Brinna Kelly also is really screen comanding in this film there hasn’t been many great science fiction romance films in a long time The Fare makes up for the missteps of the genre.
I do want to warn audiences however it is a slow burn but if you like films like A Ghost Story you should really dig The Fare a lot.
It’s a film your rather going to get a lot from or very little. I’m one of the people that got a lot from viewing The Fare.
The synopsis is as follows for The Fare:
When a charming fare named Penny climbs into his taxi cab, Harris, her world-weary driver, finds himself engaged in the only kind of courtship he can have with a passenger — one that lasts as long as her trip. That is, right up until she disappears from the back seat without a trace. When confusion gives way to reality, he resets his meter and is instantaneously transported back to the moment when she climbed into his cab. As he and Penny find themselves trapped in an endless nighttime cab ride, with only each other for company, secrets will be revealed, truths will come to light, and Harris’ entire life will be changed forever
